Tai Chi Qigong Shibashi 1, is a set of 18 beautiful Qi Gong exercises based on the principles of Tai Chi and includes movements from the Yang style Tai Chi Chaun. It is a flowing Qi Gong exercise routine that is deeply nourishing, relaxing and grounding.

Shibashi 1 is deeply focused on supporting our immune system and activating our healing capacity.

Its gentle rocking and stretching movements massage the internal organs, improve circulation and digestion. The chest exercises and controlled breathing are good for lung conditions and asthma. It activates and improves mental capacity, helps co-ordinate movement, mind and breath to create a calm, tension free body. It increases agility, flexibility, balance; strenghtening joints and muscles.

-Feel happy and share this feeling all around you.

(See the course curriculum bellow)

Where to practice:

I recommend a quiet and peaceful environment with good air circulation. You can practice indoors or outdoors, but if practising outside avoid extreme weather conditions such as strong wind.

Breathing:

The type of breathing we shall be doing is abdominal breathing; breathing using your diaphragm. You inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth. It is called abdominal breathing because the movement of your diaphragm will expand your lower abdomen during the inhalation and contract your lower abdomen during the exhalation.

How to start:

Begin each session with the warm up sequence video. I filmed this video outside so I hope the bird song, horses and the odd passing car is not too distracting for you.

Then begin with the Shibashi tutorial videos. You should begin with the first series of movements, once these have been mastered proceed to practising the next video.

"When I discovered Tallulah had produced an online course I signed up start away. What I love about this is that it’s split into 5 sections. A warm up then 3 videos demonstrating 6 of the postures so you can focus on learning them before doing the full sequence. Her guidance is really clear and couple of times I’ve actually forgetten that I’m online rather than a face to face class!

I’ve been doing Qi Gong every day since purchasing and I I’ve even incorporated some elements into my own classes. I would highly recommend this course."
